Introducing my three big dreams: Help with suffering, bridge science and spirituality into a whole, help human beings to grow both individually and as a community. Do you want to help?
[ In the spirit of getting things out there faster, this was written up with only minimal editing.]
This is part of a small series of articles about my big dreams (as they are at this moment) I hope they will connect with you. More details to come in the follow up articles (see the read after links below ).
“I have a dream,” Martin Luther King once said. In it he spoke about his grand vision for the world. Of brothers living peacefully together, no matter what color their skin.
I also have a dream. At least three, actually. And they are equally ambitions. But that’s what dreams are for. They are the first step of exploring what is possible, stepping outside the restrictions of our lives, and envisioning something greater.
My dreams are equally ambitious than Mr. King. But that’s where it must start. I must take some first step. If I can make a difference in the direction of those dreams, even a tiny one, maybe even in one life, then my life was worth something.
So I want to share my three grand dreams. Maybe it will take somehow and connect with you, the reader.
My three big dreams are:
- Find ways to help with suffering.
- Bridge science and spirituality into a whole. All the pieces are in place. That is really a two part dream: 1) the psychological realization of spirituality within us humans, AND 2) the implications for science, bridging those two.
- Help human beings to grow: an elevation at both the individual level and possibly also at the collective level (sort of an evolution)
Big dreams? Tall orders? You bet. Am I an idealist? You bet. Always have been.
Can I do it? I can’t say.
But one thing I know: I won’t know if I never try. YOU won’t know if you never try. WE won’t know if we never try. This is a collective challenge. Are you up to it?
As Gandhi said, a man I greatly admire: you have to be the change you want to see in the world.
Maybe I can server as a small agitator to help bring out that change. (Agitation is the key behind churning, which is turning out to be a key concept; more to come ).
If you believe in this, if you have similar dreams, I will need you help. We will need your help. We need to help each other
So the question to you: Can we build a brighter future together? How?
Namaste — I and the Divine in me bow to You and the Divine in You.
