I dedicate this site to the memory of my stepdaughter, Heather, who was murdered on Thanksgiving 2017. I want to chronicle some of the events and spiritual insights that happened. In the talk with my wife, intellect vs emotion, a new way emerges to deal with grief, suffering, emotional pain and healing. It is to not to block the pain, push it away, but to use it as an access point and as a catalyst.

Did you know that all of us wear masks and costumes in our daily lives as well as part of our own “act”? These are tied to the roles we play in life, and are called “personas” which literally means “the masks we wear.” With each persona, we put on a certain behavior and costume in an effort to show their “best face.”

You are a superhero of life

You are a superhero. Yes, it’s true – and you don’t have to wear a cape or a mask to be one. You already are, just by being you. For once upon a time, you took the plunge into life. At the moment of your conception there were a thousand other potential versions of you vying for this life, that is, a thousand male seeds trying to merge with that one female ovum. Each other combination would have produced a different biological “you.” But only YOU made it. Only you, uniquely you, took the plunge into life. That’s the jump of a hero. You already are a life hero!
