Having a bad day? Feeling the blues? Live dragging you down?
Here’s a quick pick-me-up recipe. Remember that old saying, “Count your blessings”? Well, there is a lot of wisdom in this. You really don’t have to count anything, but for heaven’s sake, stop looking at all the bad stuff that seems to be going on and instead look towards the things that are great in your life. Surely there are some! If you’re healthy, consider that! If you’re in a great relationship, or have a roof over your head, look at that! If it happens to be a nice day outside, look at that. Just break that pattern of looking at only the negative and find the positive instead. Then get on with life.
So today, ask yourself, what’s great in my life? What can I be thankful for? And then: smile. It is bound to make you feel better.
